Barbara Jean Cummings Smith, 67, of McKinney died Nov. 23, 2006, at her residence. A graveside service is at 2 p.m. today at Bethel Cemetery in Greenville with Rev. Gary Little officiating.
Barbara was born Oct. 13, 1939, to parents Julius Dorsey and Nannie Faye Wygal Cummings in Greenville. Barbara was a caregiver in the healthcare industry.
She is survived by a daughter, Jean Keller and husband Jay of Terrell; a son, Harold David Smith and wife Laura of DeSoto; sister Jessie Faye Cummings of Fairview; four grandchildren; and three great- grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, Julius Dean Smith in 2005; her parents; brothers Carl and Sonny Cummings; and several aunts and uncles Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
Peters Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
