Charlie V. Mayberry, 71, of Greenville died Aug. 15, 2006, at the Greenville hospital. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Bethel A.M.E. Church in Greenville with Dr. R. Charles Williams officiating. Burial will be at Grundy Memorial Park. Son of Clyde Sr. and Ollie V. Thomas Mayberry, he was born Jan. 17, 1953, in Point. Mr. Mayberry was a laborer. He was a member of Bethel A.M.E. Church and of the Masonic Lodge. Cherishing his memories are three brothers, Cecil Mayberry and William (Lola) Mayberry of Greenville and Willie (Hazel) Mayberry of Commerce; three sisters, Clara Lee of Tulsa, Okla., Emma Caldwell of Greenville and Ollie Mayberry of Waller; sister-in-law Nettie Mayberry of Greenville; special nephew Tony D. Mayberry of Point; and a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. His parents and a brother, Clyde Mayberry Jr., preceded him in death. Visitation is from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. today at Cozine & Tarver Funeral Home.
