Dora W. Sharp

Dora W. Sharp of Scottsville died at 12:50 a.m. Sunday in a Marshall hospital after a lengthy illness.

Funeral service is set for 2 pm. today at the Owens Funeral Chapel in Wolfe City. Burial will be at Mt. Carmel Cemetery.

Born In Bailey Oct 27, 1900, she was the daughter of Gus H. Scarborough and Bonie(sic) Gibson. She married Franklin P. Sharp Dec. 24,1922, in Bailey. She was a member of Crossroads Baptist Church In Marshall and of Eastern Star No. 806 in Commerce.

Surviving are two daughters, Francis Sharpe of Dallas and Betty Jo Berkalen of Scottsville; two sisters, Lillian Barnes and Velma Fleming both of Commerce; 11 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Boyd Smithey, Foid Tiffey, Darrell Hardeman and Max Lacy.

She was preceded in death by her husband.

Owens Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
