Sept 29, 2006 Dorothy C. Lew, 103, of Greenville died the morning of Sept. 27, 2006, at her residence. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Wesley United Methodist Church with Rev. Paul Gould officiating. Burial will be at Memoryland Memorial Park. Daughter of John Vallier and Anna Mae Clemmer Grice, she was born July 20, 1903, in Antwerp, Ohio. On Sept. 17, 1931, she was married to Melvin E. Lew in Fort Wayne, Ind. She was an executive secretary for Bonsib Advertising Agency. Mrs. Lew was a member of Faith United Methodist Church in Fort Wayne, Ind., for 77 years and had been a member of Wesley United Methodist Church in Greenville since 1992. Surviving are a daughter-in-law, Nancy Lew of Dallas; grandchildren Marcia and Jimmy Hamilton of Greenville, Susan and Al Hoover of San Antonio and William J. Lew of Greenville; one great-grandson; seven great-granddaughters; two great-grandsons-in-law; and one great-great-grandson. She was preceded in death by her husband; a son, Melvin Jerry Lew; a sister, Dolores Wilkinson; and a brother, Jesse Grice. Pallbearers will be Bill Lew, Albert Hoover, Jimmy Hamilton, Clay Hamilton, Shawn Santana, Jeremy Clarkson. Memorials may be made to Wesley United Methodist Church Juarez Mission Fund. Visitation is from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
