Dub Lindsey

Dub Lindsey, 76, of Lone Oak died Friday, April 27, 2007 at Autumn Leaves Nursing Home in Carrollton. Funeral services will be 2:00 PM, April 30, 2007, at the Coker-Mathews Chapel with Bro. Kenneth Ishmael officiating. Burial will follow in Mount Carmel Cemetery.

Mr. Lindsey was born November 19, 1930, to Noah Mitchel Lindsey and Sarah Angie Skaggs Lindsey. He was married to Sue Glenn on March 3, 1978, in Emory. He was a telephone lineman and a veteran in the US Army. He was Pentecostal.

He is survived by three daughters and sons-in-law, Pam Brooks and Jesse Brooks of Greenville, Duronda Sampson and Rick Sampson of Greenville, and Shelia Fahrni and Ron Fahrni of Arlington; a son-in-law, Eddie Childers of Greenville; a sister, Polly Blount; seven grandchildren, Kimberly Underwood, Jeremy Underwood, Hillary Gilliam, Cody Brooks, Sarah Sampson, Brad Childers, and Lindsey Fahrni; and seven great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, a daughter, Susan Childers, brothers J. D. Lindsey and Clarence Lindsey, and sisters Ruby Mize and Ellen Scroggins.

Pallbearers are Rick Sampson, Jesse Brooks, Ron Fahrni, Jeremy Underwood, Cody Brooks, Brad Childers, and Brad Wetzel.
