Edd Neel Dies, Rites Thursday
Edd Neel, 85, died at 8:30 this (Wednesday) morning at his home, Route
4, Greenville. Mr. Neel has been ill for about two months.
Born May 12, 1875 in Comanche County, he was the son of Duncan and
Lenora Caudle Neel. He had been a resident of Hunt County since 1928. Mr.
Neel was a retired farmer and a member of the Cash Baptist Church.
Funeral services will be conducted Thursday at 4 p.m. at the Cash
Baptist Church. Rev. Charles Bethea and Rev. Raymond Diggs will officiate.
Burial will be in Memoryland Memorial Park. Coker-Mathews-Peters
Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Survivors include his widow, the former Roxie Briscoe; three sons,
Clifford Neel, Fort Worth; Jesse Neel, Greenville; and Delbert Ray, also of
Greenville; two daughters, Mrs. Carey Yant and Mrs. Ivy Bobbitt, both
of Fort Worth; one brother, Will Davenport, Quinlan; one sister, Mrs.
Bell Clark of Corpus Christi; seven grandchildren and eight
great-grandchildren.
