Eleanor Louise McCraw Shields

Mrs. Louise Shields, 49, an employee in the Hunt County Clerk's office and a life-time Hunt County resident, died suddenly at 11:55 AM, Friday, September 18, 1970, at her mother's home at 1818 King Street.

Mrs. Shields resided at 4402 Stonewall Street.

Funeral services will be at 2:30 PM, Sunday, September 20, 1970, in Sorrells and Sons Memorial Chapel, with the Rev. B. J. Bell officiating. Burial will be in Forest Park Cemetery.

Born on July 13, 1921, in Celeste, she was the daughter of Bert M. McCraw and Ruby Gray McDonald McCraw. A 1939 Celeste High School graduate, she was a member of the Park Street Baptist Church.

Survivors include her mother, Mrs. Bert M. McCraw, of Greenville; one son, George Wallace Shields, Jr., of Greenville; one brother, Bert M. Craw, Jr., of San Antonio; one sister, Miss Wilma McCraw, of Greenville; and one granddaughter, Andrea Shields, of Greenville. She was preceded in death by her father on August 20, 1964.

Pallbearers will be Jerry Brown, Richard Johnson, Gene Ketcham, B. King, Bob Dial, and Ray Shields.
