Emmett Wilburn McKinney, 78, of Greenville, passed away Dec. 29, 2006, in Greenville.
A graveside service is planned for 2 p.m., Sunday, Dec. 31, at Wieland Cemetery in Greenville.
Visitation will be from 6 to 7:30 p.m. today at Lynch Funeral Service.
Mr. McKinney was born Feb. 7, 1928, in Greenville to Claude and Zula McKinney. He was self-employed and was owner of Sam Swartz Department Store, and he raised cattle on his family farm in Wieland. He is survived by his son, David McKinney and wife, Susan; daughter Elizabeth Ann McKinney; brother Weldon McKinney; sister Wanda Austin; grandchildren Amy McKinney and Jennifer Bellah; two great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
