Services Held for Mrs. Sayle

Funeral services for Mrs. Ethel SAYLE, 82, 1515 Caddo St., were held at 2 p.m. Feb. 19, in the W Y. Goff Chapel, with Dr. D. C. Butler and the Rev. Walter Lazenby Officiating.

Interment was in Rosemound Cemetery.

Mrs. Sayle died at 3:43 a.m. Feb. 18 in a Commerce hospital, where she had been a patient for one week.

Born March 23, 1886, near Lone Oak, Mr. Sayle was the daughter of W. S. and Agnes Chaffin GILES and had lived in Commerce since 1898. On Sept. 28, 1902, she married the late George E. SAYLE in Campbell. He preceded her in death Aug, 31, 1961. Mrs. Sayle was a member of the Commerce Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star and the Presbyterian Church.

Survivors include three granddaughters, Dr. Betty Ann SAYLE of Galveston; Mrs. W. F. WELLS of Ft. Worth and Mrs. June BAKER of New Orleans, La.; one nephew, Dr. Upton GILES of Covington, La.; one niece, Mrs. Bruce BUTLER of New Orleans, La.; and one cousin, Miss Willie BARLOW of Greenville.

Pallbearers were Thomas YOUNG, A. B. CRANFORD, Joyce PEEK, L. G. DICKSON, Paul JOHNSON and Carson GAYLOR.
