F. B. Norris

Funeral services for F. B. (Uncle Frank) Norris, prominent Hunt County resident, who died at his home at Celeste early Wednesday morning, will be held at 3:00 PM at the Celeste Methodist Church, conducted by the Rev. M. W. Wells, of that city, and the Rev. J. B. Gober, of this city. Burial will be in the Hogeye Cemetery.

Mr. Norris was born in Kansas and moved to Texas when he was eight years of age, settling at Celeste with his family, where he had since made his home. When he was seventeen years of age, he united with the Confederate Army and served during the Civil War. Following the war, he returned to Celeste and engaged in farming until several years ago when he retired. He was one of Hunt County's most prominent citizens and well known throughout this second of the state.
