WOLFE CITY — Freddie Marie Sorrow, 70, of Wolfe City died Oct. 12, 2006, at Lake Pointe Medical Center in Rowlett following a lengthy illness. Funeral services are at 2 p.m. Sunday at First Baptist Church in Wolfe City with Dr. Kevin Mitchell officiating. Burial is in Mount Carmel Cemetery. Born May 17, 1936, in Celeste, she was the daughter of William Fred and Ruby Marie Osburne Burns. On May 5, 1956, she was married to James Sorrow in Ladonia. Mrs. Sorrow retired from Henington Publishing Company. She was a member of First Baptist Church. Survivors are her husband of Wolfe City; a son and daughter-in-law, Kevin and Karen Sorrow of Wolfe City; daughter and son-in-law Sharon and Dennis Hooe of Fort Worth; a stepdaughter and husband, Vickie and B.C. Coleman of Rockwall; three sisters, Dorothy Evans and Kathy Landrum of Greenville and Betty Norfleet of Mount Pleasant; 10 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one daughter, Rhonda Sorrow; her parents and two brothers. Pallbearers are Aaron Collister, O.H. Higgins, Mike Taylor, Tommy Caldwell, Chad Mashburn and Danny Paul Burns. Honorary pallbearers are members of the Wolfe City Volunteer Fire Department. Visitation is from 6 to 8 p.m. today at R.W. Owens & Son Funeral Home of Wolfe City.
