George D. Pate III, 55, of Greenville died March 12, 2007, at a local hospital. Services are at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Peters Funeral Home chapel with Rev. Kyle Slater officiating.
Visitation is from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
He was born Sept. 11, 1951, in Akron, Ohio, to parents George Pate Jr. and Norma Jean Kolger. He served in the U.S. Army and was an aircraft mechanic instructor.
George is survived by his father of Greenville; his mother, Norma Jean Kolger of Dallas; two daughters, Tina and Becky of Ardmore Okla..; one brother, William Pate of Oklahoma City, Okla.; two sisters, Betty Jane Davenport of Oklahoma City, Okla., and Christina Slater of Springfield Tenn.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents.
