COMMERCE — Brother George William Taylor, 86, of Commerce died Aug. 9, 2006, at Presbyterian Hospital of Commerce. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Jones-Walker & Son Funeral Home chapel with Brother Wayne Turney officiating. Burial will be at Rosemound Cemetery. Son of George Washington and Ethel Gertrude Evans Taylor, he was born June 16, 1920, in Commerce. He married Imogene Eudy in September 1995 at Holly Lake Ranch. Mr. Taylor retired from E-Systems as a foreman and was also a preacher for College Street Baptist Church. He received the Sam’s Fleet Award at E-Systems and also received many other awards. He loved telling jokes and blessing and praying for people. He often gave out coins and hug cards. Surviving are his wife; three daughters, Ann Bolyard and husband Ken of Powderly, Glenda Erwin, and Saundra Senesac and husband Sammy of Rusk; a sister, Opal Brumley of Tennessee; grandchildren Reneé Clark Hughes, Billy Don Richardson, Toby Dale Bolyard, Donna Pruitt, Debbie Townsend, Jerry Taylor and Shanta Senesac Lindsey; great-grandchildren Aaron Clark, Justin Richardson, Dusty Young, Andy Bolyard, Kenny Pruitt, Ronnie Pruitt, LeAnn Pruitt, Gwen Vadiver, Alyssa Taylor and Jake Taylor; and great-great-grandchildren Folten Bolyard, Eli “Buster” Lemon, Jordan Cheney and Angelina Pruitt. He was preceded in death by his first wife of 55 years, Lucille Taylor; a daughter, Sheri Lynn Taylor; one brother and three sisters. Pallbearers will be Ronnie McCall, Darrell Reeves, Kyle Smith, Scott Kennedy, Roscoe Pruitt, and Michael Daniels. Visitation is from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
