Grady Eugene "Butch" Teel

Grady Eugene “Butch” Teel, 63, died November 4, 2007, at the Med Trauma Center in Memphis, Tennessee. Butch was born November 8, 1943, in Greenville, the son of Grady Hobert Teel and Rilla Mae Ennis Teel. A 39-year employee of Layne-Arkansas, he was a water well driller and pump setter. He was a Baptist. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Cecil Teel; one half-sister, Wilma Vaughn; and two half-brothers, Alton Teel and Denzil Teel.

Survivors are his wife, Betty Wohner Teel; four sons, Douglas Eugene Teel and wife Elizabeth Teel of Holdenville, Oklahoma, Timmy Dale Teel and wife Nancy Teel of Stuttgart, Arkansas, Micheal DeWayne Teel of Almyra, Arkansas, and Ricky Lynn Teel of Stuttgart; three brothers, Chester Lee Teel and wife Shirley Teel of Sherman, Bobby Glenn Teel and David Earl Teel, both of Oak Cliff, Texas; one sister, Linda Mae Santana and husband Jessie Santana of Greenville; one half-brother, Kenneth W. Teel of Splendor, Texas; nine grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; a host of nieces and nephews; and many friends.

Funeral services, officiated by Bro. Thomas Bormann, are at 2:30 PM Thursday, November 8, 2007, at Turpin Funeral Home Chapel in Stuttgart, Arkansas, with burial following in Frazier Cemetery.

The family requests memorials be made to Grand Prairie Evangelical Methodist Church or Saint Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital.

The family will be at the Teel home, 1213 S. Long Street in Stuttgart, Arkansas.
