Henry Sullivan

Greenville Herald-Banner – July 1, 1959 – Henry Sullivan, 74, long-time resident of Greenville and well-known butcher and groceryman, died at midnight Tuesday in the Methodist Hospital in Dallas. He was a resident of 2611 Gordon at the time of his death.

Funeral services are pending with Gray Sorrells and Sons Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Born in the Sullivan Community on Aug. 28, 1883, Mr. Sullivan was the son of Bud Sullivan and Nan Morgan Sullivan. He was well known here where he had lived most of his life and was a member of the Central Christian Church. He had been ill for the past month.

Survivors include one son, James Andrew Sullivan of the U. S. Army who is enroute to Japan; three daughters, Miss Margaret Sullivan of Dallas, Lt. (jg) Jean Sullivan, Charlotte, N.C., and Mrs. Anna Alexander, Fort Worth; one brother, Walter Sullivan, Greenville; one grandchild, and several nieces and nephews. His wife, the former Edna Green, preceded him in death, Sept. 3, 1955.
