Lone Oak Flier Dies From Mosquito Bite
Greenville, Aug. 19 – After 15 years of safe flying unmarred by a single serious accident, Lieut. Henry Toncray, 35, of Lone Oak, army and commercial aviator, is dead at Houston from blood poisoning resulting from the infection of a mosquito bite on the face, according to information received here.
Lieutenant Toncray owned and operated a fleet of six planes, including five land and one seven-passenger amphibian plane. He was an aviation instructor during the World War and recently flew the amphibian plane at Dallas.
He is survived by his widow; one daughter, Bobbie, and a brother, A.C. Toncray, also of Lone Oak. Funeral services will be held at Troup Tuesday.
