WOLFE CITY — Iona May Turner, 97, of Commerce died April 19, 2006, at Presbyterian Hospital of Commerce following a one-month illness. Funeral services were at 2 p.m. Friday at First Baptist Church in Commerce with Rev. Johnny Henderson officiating. Burial followed at Mount Carmel Cemetery, Wolfe City. Born March 16, 1909, she was the daughter of J.J. and Ada Dowell Taylor. On Oct. 14, 1933, she was married to John Bunn Turner. She was a homemaker and was a member of First Baptist Church, Commerce. Survivors are a niece, Anita Jo Wood of Dallas, and three nephews, Lester Taylor and Clifford Taylor of Dallas and Roy Taylor of Arizona. R.W. Owens & Son Funeral Home of Wolfe City was in charge of arrangements.
