Jerry Glen Weatherley

Funeral services for Jerry Glen Weatherley, 38, of 208 North Seventh Street, Celeste, were held at 2:00 PM, Monday, at the First Baptist Church. He died Friday evening in Houston.

The Rev. Jim Houston and the Rev. Charles Upshaw officiated. Burial was in the Celeste Cemetery.

He was born on November 30, 1946, in Greenville to Thomas Boyd Weatherley, Jr., and Owana Robinson Weatherley. The veteran of Vietnam with the US Army Air Calvary was employed by Procter and Gamble. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Kingston.

Survivors include his mother of Celeste; a son, Stephen Weatherley of Celeste; two brothers, Randy Weatherley of Friona and Mike Weatherley of Van Alstyne; and a sister, Mrs. Linda M. Hicks of Garland.

He was preceded in death by his father on May 4, 1983.

Pallbearers were W. S. Giles, Billy Don Eudy, Mike Wagoner, Bud Roach, Duane Compton, Doug Milton, Ronnie Saye, and Andy Joe Warren.

Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or the Kingston Baptist Church.

Coker-Mathews Funeral Home in Greenville was in charge of the arrangements.
