NAPLES — Joe Hilliard Moore, 83, of Omaha, Texas, died March 11, 2007, at Titus Regional Medical Center in Mount Pleasant. Funeral services are at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Harrison Funeral Home Chapel in Naples with Rev. Keith Lauter and Rev. Nolan Richey officiating. Burial is at 3 p.m. Wednesday at Rosemound Cemetery in Commerce.

Visitation is from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Mr. Moore was born Sept. 28, 1923, in Klondike (Delta County). He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.

Mr. Moore was a former farmer, auto mechanic, co-owner of Morris County Livestock Barn and retired from T&N Railroad. He was a ranch manager for Paul Pewitt Ranch/Broseco Ranch.

Mr. Moore was a 50-year member of Masonic Lodges in Commerce and Omaha. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Omaha.

Survivors are a son and daughter-in-law, Robert and Kay Moore of Forney; a daughter and son-in-law, Teresa and Jerry Pope of Omaha, Texas; three grandchildren, Jerry Don Pope of Kansas City, Mo., Amy Ashley of Omaha and Mandy Moore of Dallas; two great-grandchildren, Seth and Brody Ashley of Omaha; dear friend Jeanette Ennis of Naples and many friends and other relatives.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Wilma Moore, in 1984 and two sons, A.L. Moore and J.E. Moore.

Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church in Omaha.
