John Elmer Lacy

Funeral services for John Elmer Lacy, 56, of Leonard, were held Sunday afternoon at the First Baptist Church in Leonard. The pastor, the Rev. Bruce Cushman, and L. R. Fullerton, Leonard Church of Christ minister, officiated.

Burial was made in the Leonard Cemetery with Wilson Funeral Home directing. Pallbearers were Noel Owens, E. L. Thorp, Pat Jones, Lewis Evans, Herbert Reynolds, and A. C. Simmons.

Mr. Lacy was born on November 21, 1903, at Celeste, son of Dave Lacy and Nancy Watson Lacy. He was married to Miss Ada B. Roach on October 22, 1924, at Royse City. He was a retired farmer and a member of the Baptist Church.

Survivors are his wife of the home in Leonard; four daughters, Mrs. Lois Wright of Leonard; Mrs. Gene Ferguson of El Paso; Mrs. Tom Sikes; and Mrs. Joe Tilger of Mesquite; eleven grandchildren; and one brother, Eura Lacy of Celeste.
