WOLFE CITY — Johnnie C. Lloyd, 82, of Wolfe City died suddenly Aug. 14, 2006, at his home. Funeral services are at 10 a.m. Thursday at First Baptist Church in Wolfe City with Dr. Kevin Mitchell officiating. Burial is at Mount Carmel Cemetery. The son of Allen S. and Stella Stephens Lloyd, he was born Feb. 11, 1924, in Wolfe City. On Jan. 27, 1950, he married Doris Genel Howell in Dallas. Mr. Lloyd served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He was a factory representative for a tractor manufacturer. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Wolfe City. Surviving are two daughters, Sherrianne Shivers of Desert and Carolyn Hay of Austin; two sons, Marcus C. Lloyd of Fort Worth and Brian C. Lloyd of Fairlie; four sisters, Dortha Boswell and Mary Elizabeth Dygert of San Antonio, Laura Vaden of Colleyville and Betty Pierce of Greenville; eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Members of the Business Men’s Sunday school class will serve as pallbearers. Visitation is from 6 to 8 p.m. today at R.W. Owens & Son Funeral Home in Wolfe City.
