Judith Louise ‘Judy’ Owens

VAN ALSTYNE — Judy, 66, of Van Alstyne, Texas, passed away on November 15, 2006. She was born in Celeste, Texas, on December 13, 1939, to the late V. J. Giles and Frances Louise (Leinart) Giles Smith. She was a member of the Inspiration Point Cowboy Church in Tom Bean, Texas. She was also a member of the AQHA and Lone Star Quarter Horse Association.

She is survived by her daughter, Ann Coomer; granddaughter, Sterling Coomer; son and daughter-in-law, E. J. and Buffy Owens; sisters, Beth Gibson, Vickie James; brothers, Joe Don Giles, Jay Smith, Jeff Smith; brothers-in-law, Benny Coomer and Bill Coomer.

Visitation will be Friday, November 17, 2006, from 6:00 to 8:00 PM, at Allen Funeral Home in Wylie. Services will be 11:00 AM, Saturday, November 18, 2006, at the Inspiration Point Cowboy Church in Tom Bean, Texas, with the Rev. Duane Peters and Dr. A.L. Draper officiating. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, November 18, 2006, at Kreymer Cemetery in Wylie, Texas. Funeral services are under the direction of Allen Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to the Inspiration Point Cowboy Church.
