Katherine Octavia Tharp, 82, of Cash died Sunday, March 12, 2006 in her
home. Graveside services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at Wieland Cemetery
under the direction of Coker-Mathews Funeral Home. Rev. John Albritton
will officiate.
Pallbearers will be Grady Busby, John Bowen, Greg McKinney, Eric
Albritton, Mike Underwood and Ricky Underwood.
She was born July 20, 1923 in Trinidad, Colo., to Joseph Thomas Brannon
and Mattie Stapleton. She married Billy Franklin Tharp on Oct. 25, 1941
in Rockwall. She was a homemaker.
Survivors include her daughter, Carolyn Brewer of Cash; a brother, Bill
Brannan of Cash; two sisters, Jean McKinney and Winona Fox, both of
Cash; granddaughters Mitzi Cruise of Dallas, Michelle Albritton of
Longview and Stacy Bowen of Lone Oak; six great grandchildren and one great
great grandchild.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, and two sisters,
Mable Atkisson and Deloris Underwood.
Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. today at Coker-Mathews Funeral Home.
