SULPHUR SPRINGS — Funeral services for Kathryn McCarley, 81, of Greenville, formerly of Sulphur Springs, are at 2 p.m. Wednesday at First Assembly of God Church in Greenville. Interment will follow at Blue Ridge Cemetery in Blue Ridge with Darvis Calhoun, Steve Calhoun, Rodney Calhoun, A. J. Calhoun and Dexter Turner serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearer is Carl Phillips. There will be no formal visitation. Kathryn McCarley passed away at 2:17 p.m., Oct. 29, 2006, at Harrison House in Greenville. She was born in Blue Ridge, on Sept. 7, 1925, the daughter of Henry and Monnie Mae Liner Gossett. She was a retired nurse and a member of First Assembly of God in Greenville. Surviving are a daughter, Wanda Miller of Greenville; granddaughter Shannon Moore; and great-grandchildren Amanda Smith and Gunderson Elkins. She was preceded in death by three brothers, one sister and one grandson. Arrangements are under the direction of Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home of Sulphur Springs.
