Lucille “Lou” Peaton, 80, of Commerce died the night of May 1, 2006, at Presbyterian Hospital of Commerce. Funeral services are at 2 p.m. Thursday at Coker-Mathews Funeral Home chapel in Greenville with Rev. Johnny Hailes officiating. Burial is at Forest Park Cemetery. The daughter of Jim and Sudie Parish Peaton, she was born May 27, 1925, in Greenville. She was a homemaker and was a Baptist. Survivors are a niece and husband, Sue and Joe Hicks of Greenville; nephew and wife James and Joyce White of Greenville; two sisters, Opal White of Greenville and Dee Satterwhite of Tyler; and several great-nieces and nephews. Her parents, a brother and one sister preceded her in death. Visitation is from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
