Margie Fay Hartley Mitchell

Margie Fay Hartley Mitchell, 89, died August 6, 2007, in Frankston. Graveside services are at 10:00 AM Friday, August 10, 2007, at Memoryland Memorial Park with the Rev. Johnny Hailes officiating.

Visitation is from 6:00 to 8:00 PM, August 9, 2007, at Peters Funeral Home.

Mrs. Mitchell was born October 31, 1917 in Idalou, Lubbock County, to Houston Leonard Hartley and Avis Ida Bush Hartley. On May 4, 1946, she was married to Fred Mitchell in Greenville; he preceded her in death in 2001.

She was a retired sales clerk from M. E. Dress Shop in Greenville and was a member of the Park Street Baptist Church.

Her survivors are her grandchildren, Curt Ellis and wife Debbie Abernathy Ellis of Bullard and David Ellis and wife Cindy Ellis of Rowlett; great-grandchildren Cody Ellis and wife Kathleen Ellis of Lufkin, Holly Fults and husband Heath Fults of Bullard and Cullen Ellis and Craig Ellis both of Allen; one great-great-grandchild, Hadison Jayne Fults of Bullard; siblings Joe Hartley of Bullhead, Arizona, Johnny Hartley of Salem, Oregon, Jimmie Nell Wolff of Medford, Oregon, Dona Guile of Bell Flower, California, Jessie Stalkup of Lindsey, California, and Pauline Courtney of Anderson, California.

She was also preceded in death by her parents; her daughter, Minnie Margaret Ellis in 1981; and siblings Manuel Hartley, Dorothy Cowan, and Trentham Hartley.

The family requests memorials be made to Heart-to-Heart Hospice, 1402 Rice Road, Suite 100, Tyler, TX 75703.
