Frances McNatt

GREENVILLE — Frances Mae McNatt, 100, passed away March 24, 2013, at her home. Services will be at 1 p.m. Friday in the Coker-Mathews Funeral Home chapel with Rev. Jim Gatlin officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Park Cemetery. Visitation will be from noon until service time on Friday.

Born Sept. 26, 1912, in Greenville, Frances was the daughter of Nathaniel Herman and Lula Beatrice (McGraff) Conder. She was the loving wife of J.P. “Punk” McNatt whom she married on Nov. 11, 1933 in Crandall. She was a homemaker, a member of the Jr. Pallas Club and “Dirt Dobbers,” and served as a Pink Lady. She was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church.

Her survivors include her son, J. P. McNatt Jr. of Greenville; daughter Frances Ann Treadway of Dallas; grandchildren James McNatt, Kelly Walling and Dr. Charles Lee Caperton; and numerous great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. Special thanks to caregivers Vicky Williamson, Victor Williamson, Brenda Foster, Hazel Tapp, Cordelia Tapp, and Cora Lambert.

She was preceded in death by her husband in 1990, two brothers and six sisters.

Pallbearers will be Kenneth Burch, Tom Cole, Steve Davis, James Leon McNatt, Rodney Follis, and John Little.

The family request memorials be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
