Michael Jim Lowery, 56, of Campbell passed away March 30, 2006, in Fort Smith, Ark. Funeral services were at First Baptist Church in Campbell at 3 p.m. Sunday with Rev. Benny Chaffin, Rev. Joel Arnold, and Rev. Leroy Cooper officiating. Burial followed at Brigham Cemetery. He was born June 9, 1949, in Greenville, the son of Dee and Edna Mae Beesinger Lowery. On Aug. 6, 1976, he married Kay Rogers in Greenville. He was of the Baptist faith. He is survived by his wife, Kay of Campbell; sons John Christopher Lowery and Carmen Cooke of Commerce and Michael Dee Lowery of Campbell; his mother, Edna Mae Lowery of Campbell; grandchildren Taylor Dee Ann Lowery, Tara Brooke Lowery, Heagen Lorene Steed, and (Jace) John Christopher Lowery II , all of Commerce; and a sister, Frances Dee Mullinex of Dallas. He was preceded in death by his father, Dee Lowery. Corkee Cannon, Mark Crouch, Kevin Edwards, Mike Isham, Bill Jordan, and Richard Trapp will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers are Buddy Gore and Larry Gore. Peters Funeral Home in Greenville was in charge of arrangements.
