SULPHUR SPRINGS — Funeral services for Mike Ray, 37, of Commerce, formerly of Sulphur Springs, are at 3 p.m. Thursday at Cross Trails Cowboy Church in Fairlie. Interment will follow at Weaver Cemetery with Royce “BoBo” Miller, John Michael Goodman, Ryan Hilburn, Farren Davis, Glenn Norfleet, Charles Miller, Kelly Shields, and Tommy Miller serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers are Wesley Haddock, Brandon Teague, Darrell Dixon, Ken Stieber, and drivers for Moo-Lah Transport.

Visitation is from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home.

Mike Ray died the evening of Jan. 14, 2007, at Zale-Lipsey Hospital in Dallas.

He was born in Sulphur Springs on Aug. 27, 1969, the son of Sam and Cathy Goodman Ray. He married Debbie Miller in Hugo, Okla., on Oct. 14, 1995; she survives.

Mr. Ray was a truck driver for Moo-Lah Transport. He was a member of Healing Waters Assembly of God in Commerce..

Survivors are daughters Danielle Shae Watley, Chelsey Jean Watley, Michelle Lynnette Ray and Brianna Paige Ray, all of Commerce; a brother, Glenn Kizer of Sulphur Springs; and grandmothers Joyce Goodman of Paris and Linie Ray of Sulphur Springs.

He was preceded in death by a son, Dakota Ray; daddy, Orlando Kizer, and grandfathers Jesse Goodman and John Orville Ray.
