Mrs. S. W. McClure

Funeral services for Mrs. S. W. McClure, 35, wife of S. W. McClure, editor of "The Celeste Courier," who died Monday were held at 2:30 PM Tuesday at the Celeste Baptist Church, conducted by the Rev. M. F. Wells. Burial followed in the Mount Carmel Cemetery (Celeste).

Active pallbearers were R. Connie, Sam Jones, J. R. Eastwood, W. M. Gregory, H. F. Hart, and W. W. Macrel (sic) McMichael (?). Honorary pallbearers wren all friends and acquaintances of the family.

Mrs. McClure was born in Yenita, Oklahoma, and came to Texas in 1924. She had been a residence of the Celeste community for several years and was well known in that section of the county. She was a splendid Christian woman, having been a member of the Baptist Church since a child.

She is survived by her husband, two sisters, and one brother.
