Myra Nell Compton Rushing
CELESTE — A funeral service for Myra Rushing, 70, of Blue Ridge, is at 2:00 PM, Monday, January 8, 2006, at the First Baptist Church in Celeste, with the Rev. James Ralson officiating. Burial is in the Celeste Cemetery.
Mrs. Rushing died Thursday. January 4, 2007, in Garland.
She was born November 2, 1936, to Aubrey Glen Compton and Willie Fae Purkey Compton. She was a 1955 honor graduate of Celeste High School. She married William Odell Rushing on January 15, 1977, in Princeton. She was a clerk at the Collin County Tax Office, and she was a Baptist.
She is survived by her husband, William Odell Rushing of Blue Ridge; sons, Robert Bradley ”Brad” Bradford of McKinney, Gary Rushing of Commerce and Duane Rushing of Plano; daughters, Terrye Bradford of McKinney and Constance Bradford of Garland; sisters, Peggy Grier of Athens and Billie Spoonemore of Celeste; nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Visitation is from 6:00 to 8:00 PM, Sunday, January 7, 2007, at Taylor Funeral Home of Leonard, which has charge of arrangements.
