Orval A. Mallow

Services were held in Dallas for Orval A. Mallow, 5407 King Street, Greenville, Texas, under the direction of Restland Funeral Home. Burial ill be in Arlington National Cemetery with full military honors.

Mr. Mallow died on Friday in a Dallas hospital.

He was born in Kingston on November 29, 1910, to Alma B. Mallow and Alice Louise Mallow.

Mr. Mallow attended school in Celeste and retired from the US Army in 1958 after twenty-two years of service and was associated with The Greenville Herald Banner, Dallas Morning News, and Dallas Times Herald.

Mr. Mallow retired in January 1976 from the staff of the Sam Rayburn Memorial Student Center at East Texas State University in Commerce. He helped organize the first Hunt County Riding Club and was one of the original members of the Hunt County CB Club.

Survivors include his wife, Ann Marie Mallow of Greenville, a daughter, Thelma Jean Lewis of Sunbury, Pennsylvania; a son, A. Pennington Mallow of Greenville; a sister, Mrs. C. E. Sumrow of Greenville; and two grandchildren, Angela Marie Lewis and Joey Lewis of Pennsylvania.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Pennington Lee Mallow.

The family requests that no flowers be sent. Donations can be made to the American Cancer Society of to a Veterans Association such as the VFW or the American Legion.
