QUINLAN — Robert R. Rhodes, resident of Lone Oak, died Dec. 19, 2006, at his home. His funeral service, under the direction of Quinlan Funeral Home, is at 2 p.m. Thursday in the First Baptist Church of Lone Oak with Brother Eugene Green officiating. Visitation with the family is from 6 to 8 p.m today at the Point Funeral Home.

Robert was born Sept. 14, 1951, in Greenville, son of Earl Joseph and Eva Mae Brown Rhodes. He married Carol Lynn Barrow, on Oct. 30, 1985, in Point. He worked for the Lone Oak Independent School District in the maintenance department. He was of the Baptist Faith.

He is survived by his wife of Lone Oak; one daughter, Karen Gorsuch of Dallas; three sons, Robert Rhodes Jr. of Dallas and Randy Smallwood and Jessie Smallwood of Lone Oak; one sister, Pearl O’Neil of Kaufman; two brothers, James Allen Rhodes of Greenville and Darnell Rhodes of Point; and five grandchildren.

He was preceded in his death by his parents; one brother, Billy Charles Rhodes; and one sister, Mabel Worley.

Pallbearers are Leston Dahne, William Jessup, Charley Rhodes, Rodney Brummitt, Michael Barrow, and Larry Don Dudley.
