Alma Willie Cochran Rogers

Alma Willie Cochran Rogers (Mrs. A. B. Rogers), 61, a resident of Greenville for the past three years and a former Celeste resident, died at noon Wednesday, April 7, 1954, at her home, 1808 Stanford Street. Death followed a long illness.

Funeral services were held at 3:00 PM Thursday, April 8, 1954, at the North Jefferson Church of Christ in Mount Pleasant, with L. L. Geiger of Tyler and Wilbur Whittington of Mount Pleasant officiating. Burial was in Nevill's Chapel, near Mount Pleasant.

Mrs. Rogers, the former Alma Willie Cochran, was born on January 3, 1893, at Mount Pleasant, the daughter of Jack Cochran and Beulah Hardaway Cochran. She resided in that section of the state until 1946 when she came to Hunt County. She made Celeste her home prior to moving to Greenville three years ago.

She was a member of the Johnson Street Church of Christ in Greenville.

She was married to Arch B. Rogers in Mount Pleasant on February 7, 1909.

Surviving are her husband; a daughter, Mrs. E. L. Cromer of Greenville; her mother, Mrs.. Beulah Cochran of Mount Pleasant; a brother B. E. Cochran of Fort Worth; and a sister, Mrs. Phil Blackwell of Mount Pleasant.
