COMMERCE — Snowda Darlene “Tootie” Milam, 67, of Commerce died March 11, 2007, at Presbyterian Hospital of Commerce. Funeral services are at 11 a.m. today at Jones-Walker & Son Funeral Home chapel with Rev. Kerry Miller officiating. Burial follows in Sonora Cemetery.

The daughter of Alford and Mae Chisholm Snowden, she was born April 7, 1939, in Milo, Mo.

Mrs. Milam was a bus driver for the Neylandville route for the Commerce Independent School District for 17 years, she worked as a secretary for the bus barn, was a substitute teacher and handled paperwork for her husband’s auctioneer business. She was a housewife.

Survivors are her husband of Commerce; three sons, Walter Burton Milam Jr. and wife Lynn of Memphis, Tenn., Ricky Lynn Milam of New Orleans, La., and Randall Burton Milam of Commerce; two daughters, Rhonda Lea Milam of Dallas and Rita Krodle and husband Robert of Commerce; six grandchildren, Justin Milam, Lauren Milam, Dustin Milam, Brandon Brown, B.T. Brown and Dalton Krodle; and two great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers are Billy Don Richardson; Wesley Ashley; Jay Busby; Pvt. Brandon Brown, USMC; B.T.Brown, Dustin Milam and Allen Roundtree. Honorary pallbearers are Harold Ray “Sonny” Moore, Second McQueary, Ron Lovelace and Mark Mauldin.
