Susie E. Woods was born Aug. 30, 1910, in Ladonia, daughter of Will and Savanna Shaw Scott. She received her education from F.I.S. College. She was a member of Pleasant Grove C.M.E. Church in Ladonia.
Mrs. Woods died March 5, 2007, in Wolfe City.
Forever cherishing her memories are three daughters, Willie Fay Boyer of Fort Worth and Betty Spead (Bobby) and Cynthia Bagent of Dallas; three sons, Ray Woods (Clara) and Oliver Woods of Dallas and Harold Woods (Gloria) of Wylie; grandchildren; great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Willie Woods; a daughter, Marietta Maynard; and a son, John Woods.
Funeral services will be at noon Friday at Pleasant Grove C.M.E. Church in Ladonia with Rev. J.W. Scott officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant Grove Cemetery.
Visitation is from 9:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. today at Grace & Mercy-Grundy Funeral Home in Greenville.
