Sandra Jo Threlkeld

Sandra Jo Threlkeld, 63, of Greenville died May 29, 2008.Sandra was born Dec. 16, 1944, in Dallas, the daughter of Jess and Jo Spiva. For 26 years she owned Sandi’s Country Corner located in downtown Greenville at the corner of Houston and Lee Streets. She retired from L-3 with 28 years service. She and her husband were honored to be contributors of scholarship funds available for students enrolled in the Texas A and M University-Commerce Department of Agriculture. They were recognized for these donations of time, money, services and products by the university in spring 2007.Their love for land, horses and mostly people is clearly portrayed as they are quoted for saying, “If we can inspire just one student to achieve, it will be enough.”Survivors are her son, Lance Threlkeld of Greenville; her mother-in-law, Mary Threlkeld; two sisters-in-law, Viki Miller and Glenda Gailey; and a brother-in-law, Gary Threlkeld. She was preceded in death by her husband, Leonard Threlkeld, and an infant son, Wayne Threlkeld. A memorial service is scheduled at 10:30 a.m. Monday in the Lynch Funeral Service chapel with Randy Rather officiating.
