Varah D. Luna, 97, of Greenville died Sunay, May 28, 2006, at Presbyterian Hospital of Greenville. Graveside services are at 2 p.m. Wednesday, May 31, 2006, at East Mount Cemetery with Rev. Paul Gould officiating. Mrs. Luna was born Feb. 2, 1909, in Hunt County; the daughter of Buford Earle and Eula Ross DeFee. She was married to J.D. Luna in 1935 in Greenville. The couple was co-owners of several service stations and Luna Motor Company, a new car dealership, in Greenville. She was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church for more than 80 years and the Joy-Spurlock Class. Surviving are nieces Angnes Bailey of Calera, Okla., Almeda Greer of Cedar Park, Anna Mary Yates of Dallas and Varah Raye of Greenville. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; brother, Ross H. DeFee; and sisters, Lottie Wendell and Reah L. Davis. Coker-Mathews Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
