Verdell Pierce, 75, of Fort Worth died the afternoon of June 4, 2006, at North Richland Hills Hospital. Graveside services are at 10 a.m. today at East Mount Cemetery under the direction of Coker-Mathews Funeral Home. Joe Bishop will officiate. Born June 30, 1930, in Greenville, he was the son of John Ransom and Leona Grace Dellinger Pierce. He was a Methodist. Surviving are brothers Vernon Pierce of Greenville, Frank Pierce of Fort Worth and Jimmy Pierce and a sister, Frances Thompson of Indiana. His parents and three brothers preceded him in death.
