Virgil A. West

Fort Worth--Virgil A. West, 89, died about 3:00 PM, Sunday, February 24, 1963, at the home of his daughter, Mrs. C. B. Saye, 4025 Webber Street, Fort Worth. He had lived in the Greenville and Celeste areas until the past five years when he moved to his daughter's home.

He was born on May 2, 1873, in Georgia. He was married to Martha Thompson, who preceded him in death in 1946.

The services will be at 2:30 PM, Tuesday, February 26, 1963, at the Celeste Church of Christ with Foster Ramsey and Elmo Hall officiating. Burial will be in the Celeste Cemetery.

Mr. West is survived by four daughters, Mrs. M. W. McBride, Greenville; Mrs. Nell Gaston, Mrs. C. B. Saye, and Mrs. L. B. Pennington, Fort Worth; three sons, Ted West, Greenville; Arland West, Greenville; and Sam West, Farmersville; two sisters, Mrs. Armenda Anderson, Plainview, and Miss Oma (Ona) West, Rootville, Georgia; one brother, Dr. Grover West of Rootville, Georgia; twenty grandchildren; and thirty-nine great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Jimmy West, Teddy West, Charles West, Samuel West, Johnny West, and Gerald Saye, all grandsons.
