Walter Eugene Lewis
Celeste, Texas--Funeral services were held at the Methodist Church here for Walter Eugene Lewis, 82, who died at his home in Celeste. Burial was in Forest Park Cemetery in Greenville.
A retired grocer, Lewis was born in Cherokee, Georgia, and had lived in Celeste for the past thirty years. He was a member of the Methodist Church here.
He is survived by his wife; three sons, H. L. Lewis of Pasadena, California; C. E. Lewis of Pauls Valley, Oklahoma; and Charles Howard Lewis of Celeste; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. (September 1, 1953, The Dallas Morning News) Submitted by Sarah Swindell
