Judge W. R. Poe

Judge W. R. Poe, who only recently resigned his office as Justice of the Celeste precinct and was succeeded by John A. Stone, died last Sunday. Judge Poe had lived at Celeste for many years and was a man of sound convictions and courageous in doing the right and as a justice, he was regarded as most capable and just in all his rulings and decisions. He was sixty-five years old, a Mason, a Methodist, and lived a life above reproach. He is survived by a widow and numerous relatives and friends who mourn his loss.
