W. T. Swindell

Sulphur Springs--W. T. Swindell, 64, of Sulphur Springs, died Saturday in a Sulphur Springs hospital. Mason graveside services will be at 10:00 AM Monday at South Liberty Cemetery with the Rev. Fred Lewis officiating.

He was born on January 20, 1923, in Celeste to W. H. "Bill" Swindell and Faye Wheat Swindell. A member of the CHS class of 1941, he attended schools in Celeste and Hogeye. He was married to Lorene Amox in 1941 in Dallas. He was a US Navy veteran serving in WWII and retired from Baker Oil Tools. He was a Baptist and member of the Sulphur Springs Masonic Lodge # 221 and the Grand Lodge of Waco.

In addition to his wife, surviving are a son, Michael Swindell of Sulphur Springs; a daughter, Janice C. Swindell of Lewisville; brothers, Glyn Swindell of Garland and Jerry Swindell of Celeste; a sister, Louise Swindell Martin of Dallas; and three grandchildren.

The family will be at Tapp Funeral Home in Sulphur Springs from 7:00 to 8:00 PM, February 22, 1987.
