Correction of "J. M." Lynch's middle name to MILAM instead of MILLER. Many records list him as J.M. Lynch instead of his full name. His Mother's Father was Andrew MILLER and J.M.'s older brother was names "William ANDREW Lynch". Joseph MILAM Lynch is handwritten on a very old Family Records sheet. A photo copy was e-mail to me Aug 19, 2005 by direct descendant Jay and Sandy Lynch in WA. (Joseph Milam LYNCH > William Joseph LYNCH, Sr. > George LYNCH > Jay LYNCH). "Lynch Families of the Southern States" mentions the possibility that J. M. Lynch's middle name was "Milam" namesake of 'Old' Ben Milam who lead (and died in) the first battle of the Alamo when the Mexican General -- his Army were driven back to Mexico. J. M. Lynch's father Joseph Penn LYNCH faught in this battle and 2nd. son Joseph Milam LYNCH was born shortly after. Please note my new e-mail address sfsue2003 @ yahoo.com.
