HISTORY:This is a large, elegant two story mansion with several different wings and levels. Built in 1928, of coarse limestone, this house became the home of Dr. Adolph Herff when he retired from medical practice in San Antonio. It remained in the Herff family until it was purchased by Susan and Dennis Strauch. in the 1980s. Dr. Adolph was one of six sons of Ferdinand Ludwig von Herff came from Germany to Texas. He purchased land in the Boerne valley in 1854.
