VFW-MITCHELL CLEANERS BUILDING
117 E. James, Boerne

HISTORY: Built after WWII as VFW meeting hall. In 1955 the building became the home of Mitchell's Dry Cleaning business(owner's George and Bedelia Mitchell). The Mitchell's lived directly across the street in the old Luckenbach home. After twenty five years in this location, the cleaners moved to another location in Boerne, leaving this building available to renters. At times it has stood empty, other times occupied by various businesses.
