DESCRIPTION: One and one-half story brick veneer, Victorian, has a hipped roof with central dormers and projecting wing on southeast front; fluted columns and balustrade with turned balusters. Heavy stone lintels top the windows and doors. Curved porch sweeps across front and west side.

HISTORY: Built on a knoll, this home has served many Boerne families throughout the years: Ed. Clemens built it about 1906, sold to Max Hofheinz in 1913; only to sell a few months later to H. J. Graham in 1914; Ernst Morris owned it in 1963 when it was sold to Thomas R. Ransdell, then to Owen Joseph Fitzgerald, Boerne postmaster, in 1965. The Fitzgerald's lived here for nineteen years then sold to Mayor Patrick Heath. When it was purchased in 1984 by the Heath's, the attic was unfinished. The first floor ceilings are twelve feet high, and to make the attic accessible an oak stairway was installed in the entry hall. The stair rail consists of turned oak spindles. Two large bedrooms, a bath, and sewing area were created upstairs. During its renovation, the house became all-electric; served with an electric heat pump for cooling and heating, and an electric hot water heater. The unusually large wooden-frame windows were installed with counterweights to facilitate opening. The moldings throughout the house were specially milled. Home Tour visitors that year had a special Holiday treat as they entered the house. A table made by Mayor Heath was decorated for the Holiday Season in the traditional Danish manner.
