BOERNE COLORED SCHOOL
623 W. O'Grady
HISTORY: Originally located on Blanco Street at the foot of the
hill where the Utility Bldg. (old school) is located. Moved to O'Grady Street
where it was used to school the children of "Black" families. When public
schools were integrated in the 1960's, these students no longer needed a
separate school. The building was used by the school district for storage. Later
it was sold to the Munoz family who remodelled it to be used as a
residence.
