Exposed fachwerk

HISTORY. In 1877 Ernst Flach built this three room "fachwerk" house on the corner of 4th and Main streets in Comfort, TX. With frame additions by the turn of the century, the house grew to fit the family of four children of Ernst and his wife, Elise Faltin Flach. The house was restored in 1955 by Vicki Schleyer, exposing the excellent fachwerk.
