HISTORY: Originally built in the early 1940's during World War
II, this ranch style house has several extensions. As lumber became scarce
during the war, used lumber and old doors were used in the construction. It was
designed to resemble an old Arizona Ranch house, having four fireplaces. Eve
Roberts sold the house to Katherine and Herbert Holmgreen in 1954. Then in 1969
it was sold to Betty and John Ramsey. The next owner was Al Groves, an
architect, who has again remodelled the house about 1995. He removed one of the
many fireplaces.
There is an adobe cabin by the creek.
